Misha Lakhani showcased a bridal collection titled ‘Bohemian Heiress’ at PFDC L'Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2013.
The collection was inspired by a journey of the designer through Ottoman Turkey, its threads of many cultures, 17th century old Indian romanticism, jewel tones, and the bohemian heiress who challenges convention yet loves all things traditional. The bridal collection featured intricate designs on fabrics such as French velvet, muslin, net, gold tissue, chiffon, georgette, brocade and karandi. Short coats were set against long kalidars, saris draped on dresses, sheer shirts layered over lengha cholis, kalidars, sheer saris, long coats and angharkas in gold, topaz, amber and lapis to ivory, fawn, saffron and lime palettes. Bohemian Heiress was meticulously crafted using techniques such as applique, vasli, zardosi, ari, marori, block-printing, gota and devore.
