NTR dreams shattered !

Young Tiger NTR is one name famous for extraordinary films. After adding Badshaah to his long list of successful films, NTR should have been mighty pleased. However, we hear the Nandamuri Tiger is far from pleased. NTR is aspiring to gain entry into the 50 crore film club for quite some time now. For those who have no idea what I’m talking about, the 50 crore club is the elite of Telugu cinema, equivalent to the 100 crore club of Bollywood.

                           Films like Gabbar Singh, Magadheera and Dookudu have trumpeted the standard of Telugu cinema. They all belong to the 40 crore elite club. NTR had hoped to gain entry into this elite club on the back of the success of his recent film Badshaah. Alas, he stopped short again. NTR’s previous blockbuster Brindavanam managed to rake in a massive 38 crores. Badshaah not only came close to besting NTR’s personal best but also would have gotten him an entry into the elite 50 crore club.
                     

                      It seems like NTR will be left wanting once again. His next release is slotted for a mid September release. While it is good to trust your strengths, it is equally unwise to ignore your opponent’s strengths. September is going to see a flurry of releases. Ram Charan’s action-packed Zanjeer, Venkatesh’s rib-tickler Golmaal and Superstar Mahesh Babu’s much anticipated movie 1-Nenokkadine are all slated for a September release. Only the audience will decide whether NTR will finally be able to realize his dream of breaking into the 50 crore elite club.
